At Almanarre Clothing, we attach great importance
in the choice of raw materials in order to minimize our impact
Environmental. Our clothes are made from cotton.
100% organic, untreated with chemical softeners and
pollutants. This approach explains why some of our
products, such as sweatshirts, may not have the softness
conventional chemically treated clothing.

It is important to understand that cotton is a plant fiber
natural, which requires very high water consumption and pesticides to ensure its production. We are aware of this, and that is why we work with organic or recycled cotton, and why our materials are certified by recognized labels on the market.

All our raw materials are sourced from suppliers in Portugal, carefully selected for their ethical and responsible commitment. They hold the most reliable certifications on the market, such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), thus ensuring the quality and durability of our products while respecting the strictest environmental and social standards.

Choosing our suppliers is a process we take very seriously.
All our suppliers are partners we know personally. Before selecting them, we took the time to meet them in person. We regularly visit the factories to closely monitor the production of our clothing, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to our ethical standards.

We favor small, human-scale factories. These workshops are staffed by passionate and dedicated men and women who work in respectful and safe conditions. Every factory we collaborate with is subject to very strict environmental regulations, guaranteeing that our products are not only of high quality but also responsibly produced.

Our relationship with our Portuguese suppliers goes beyond a simple business partnership. Over time, we have forged genuine bonds of friendship. This human dimension and this close collaboration are at the heart of our approach, and we are proud to be able to count on such loyal and professional friends to create products that reflect our values.

At Almanarre Clothing, we're not just a clothing brand. We embody a lifestyle and a deep awareness of our love for our planet, our oceans, and our sea. Our commitment goes far beyond fashion; it reflects our passion for environmental protection. We utilize traditional maritime crafts to create our products, such as our swimwear made from recycled fishing nets.

We believe in the importance of giving back to nature what it gives us. That's why we donate 1% of our revenue to the OCEAN QUEST association, which is dedicated to protecting the seabed by rebuilding coral reefs. But our commitment doesn't stop there. We actively participate by going on missions with them aboard their boat to help with these crucial tasks. As lovers of the water and our marine environment, we do everything we can to protect it.

We organize beach cleanups and "clean walks" to raise public awareness about the importance of preserving our marine ecosystems. At Almanarre Clothing, we firmly believe that every action counts and that, together, we can make a difference for our planet.

Although we produce the majority of our clothing in Europe, we continue to manufacture some of our accessories in Asia, representing 10%. As a young brand, it's impossible for us to produce exclusively in Europe without our costs becoming too high. We hope you understand this necessity. We are moving forward together, constantly striving to improve our practices while remaining true to our ethical and environmental values.
